OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE The Lahore High Court on Friday passed orders for the regularisation of 531 employees whose services were previously hired on contractual basis in the Evacuee Property Trust Board. The court also ordered the board to pay their salaries before the start of Ramazan, which were held back from January. Justice Khalid Mehmood Khan passed the order on a petition filed by Imran Haidri and others daily wages who submitted that they were working on contract/daily wages for last many years and still not regularised. They said despite directions of the parliaments cabinet committee to regularise contract employees, the ETPB management was not regularising them. They further submitted that they had not been paid salary since January which made their lives miserable. They prayed the court to issue directions for their regularisation and payment of outstanding salaries.
