Students visit Nawa-i-Waqt, TheNation offices

LAHORE A group of 40 students from all provinces and Azad Kashmir on Friday visited various sections of Nawa-i-Waqt, TheNation and Waqat TV and observed process of publication of newspapers and airing of programmes. The students were in Lahore to participate in 13 days camp at Asar Resource Centre. The visiting students, led by Coordinator Asar Resource Centre Sajid Ali Baloch, Programme Officer Sahira Bano and UET student Aneeza, also called on TheNation Editor Salim Bokhari and Nawa-i-Waqt Deputy Editor Saeed Aasi. Addressing the students at Hameed Nizami Hall, Salim Bokhari highlighted achievements of Nawa-i-Waqt and contributions of Majid Nizami in continuing the mission of founder of the media group. He said that Majid Nizami never compromised on principles and that even resulted into banning of government advertisement for the newspaper. He said that the group was publishing two magazines 'Phool and 'Young Nation that showed love of the management for children. He also answered to the queries of the students.
