Dera Ghazi Khan- Police conducted raid in a mosque and arrested 15 suspects sitting in Aitekaf (ten days of exclusive worship), a news channel reported today.
According to police the arrested men were wanted in several cases to the law enforcement agencies. The residents of the area infuriated over the police raid in mosque and blocked the Indus Highway as protest against the police action. Police officials, however, said that the detained men were wanted to the law enforcers and clarified that the accused were arrested from the area but not from the mosque.
