Karachi- Chief Meteorologist Tausif Alam has said Shawal moon was likely to be sighted on July 28.

He said that though sky would be overcast on Monday in Karachi, there were clear chances of moon sighting. According to the chief meteorologist, the moon would be 40 hour and 2 minute old on Monday at the time of sunset. There are always more chances of moon sighting when it is over 32 hour old, he added.

Alam said that the crescent could be witnessed during the 44 minutes after sunset, ,adding that there were chances of moon sighting in Jeewani, Pasni, Ormara, Mithi, and Nangar Parkar.
