MARDAN - Girl students outshined boys in the intermediate examination, 2014, as the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Mardan, announced results on Tuesday.

BISE Assistant Controller of Examination Farooq Ali announced the results during a press conference held at the Mardan Press Club. The results show that the female students of The Peace School and College Nowshera grabbed all the top three positions. Shafaq Shehzadi and Safia Ali secured 986 marks and both stood first, Faiza grabbed 2nd position by securing 982, Hanniya Sherwani got 3rd position by securing 965 marks respectively. In the annual examination 2014, more than 30,717 male and female students were appeared out of which 20,231 candidates were declared successful with an overall 65.86 percentage.  In the pre-medical group, Shafaq Shehzadi and Safia Ali of The Peace School and College Nowshera got 986 marks and stood first, Faiza of the same school secured 982 marks and got second position while Hanniya Sherwani of the same school remained third by obtaining 965 marks.

Similarly, the pre-engineering group, Abbas Anwar of Karnal Sher Khan Cadet College Swabi got 944 marks and stood first, Waleed Abbas of the same college remained second by securing 942 marks while Moiz Ahmad of the same institute got third position by grabbing 939 marks.  Likewise, in the GS Group, Iqra Saleem of FEF Girls Degree College Zida Swabi secured 909 marks and stood first, Mashal Farooq of Islamia Degree College for Girls Nowshera obtained 857 marks and got second position, while Palwasha Alam from The Peace School Nowshera Cantt got 854 marks and grabbed 3rd position.  In Humanities Group, Habiba Anwar Khattak from the Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Shaidu Nowshera, got 908 marks and stood first, Hasiba Anwar from the same school secured 878 marks and remained 2nd, while Aneela from the Govt Girls Secondary School Mardan got 872 marks and clinched 3rd position.
