Islamabad: Federal minister Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday claimed that inquiry commission has rejected Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) rigging allegations.

Iqbal tweeted and posted it on his facebook page that the commission has issued report regarding the inquiry of alleged rigging in General Elections 2013. He stated that the commission has refuted PTI’s allegations leveled against the ruling party.

He said that country’s economy was hijacked in name of sit-ins and unnecessary protests. He demanded PTI chairman Imran Khan to keep up the spirit of democracy and confess to having mislead the nation and youth.

He urged the need to step forward with new aspirations and resolve after commission’s report has put the matter to rest once for all.

The report has been forwarded to the Prime Minister (PM). Iqbal’s statement before the report is made public has created another issue.
