Multan Corps Commander Lt-Gen Ashfaq Nadem Ahmad said that besides discharging professional obligations, the Pakistan Army will fully support the flood affectees and extend its services to cope with any emergency-like situation.

The Commander also visited Bhakri flood bank and reviewed arrangements for flood relief operation being launched by the army in the area. The Corps Commander directed the departments concerned to make preparations in advance for offering timely relief to the affectees besides ensuring protection of human life and property.

Contingents of Pakistan Army have extended full support to districts administrations in all flood-hit areas. Later on, the Corps Commander met with the IDPs who migrated because of operation Zarb-e-Azb, and lauded their sacrifices. He also distributed Eid gifts among them.

MNA Jamshed Khan Dasti also paid visits to Super Band Shah Wala and Bakhri Ahmad Khan, Talking to the media, he said that the government spent billions on Metro Bus projects but not spent a penny on flooded areas.
