Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday suspended non-bailable arrest warrant issued against former president General (Retd.)Pervez Musharraf in Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder case whereas a hearing on a plea seeking complete exemption of the accused from court would be conducted on July 27.

Justice Amir Farooq of IHC was hearing the case during which, the plaintiff’s counsel pleaded to suspend non-bailable arrest warrant and requested complete exlinesemption of the accused from court in the case. The lawyer told the court that Musharraf has been granted with permanent exemption in Akbar Bugti case. He said that the report was earlier submitted to the trial court but no action was taken.

Opposition’s counsel pressurized the court not to grant exemption as Musharraf didn’t bother to appear in court even once.

The court adjourned the hearing till July 27 for further arguments.
