Donkey beaten-up by political workers passes away

The donkey, who was beaten brutally and bruised by supporters of a political party last week, has passed away today. 

ACF Animal Rescue posted on social media, "Hero should never have suffered for even a moment in life. Hero was the epitome of purity and innocence. Shame on us for doing this to him and not being able to curtail this menace of torture and abuse of animals and human beings alike." 

Earlier, on July 16, some supporters of a political parties who first wrote the name of a political rival on the donkey's body and then beaten the donkey to elude to him.

Afterwards, the brutal incident of animal violence has caused an uproar by concerned citizens on the social media.

The animal was beaten and punched in the face and abdomen several times. His nose was broken and he had been kicked all over his body until he collapsed. The donkey had rope marks and a car was rammed into him. The animal's nostrils were ripped apart and his face was bleeding when he was handed over to Ayesha Chundrigar Foundation (ACF) Animal Rescue. 

Ever since the post was shared on social media, people have been expressing extreme anger over the occurrence of such a disgraceful and barbaric act. People expressed their sorrow after seeing this sort of violence against animals and inhumane behaviour of political workers.
