KARACHI (APP) - Four Pakistanis including skipper Younus Khan, Shahid Khan Afridi, Kamran Akmal and Umer Gul earned the distinction of being named on Monday in ICC Men World Twenty20 team. Because of courage and leadership qualities, Younis Khan was named as the Captain of the team by the experts. Afridi, who won the man of the match award in the final, emerged as the most successful all-rounder of the tournament. Paceman Umer Gul performed outstandingly with his deadly Yorkers and explosive opener Kamran Akmal showed great touch with his pinch- hitting. The team was chosen by a select group of experts who were given the task of picking a balanced side for all conditions on the basis of performances in the tournament. Statistics were used but were not the sole basis for selections, said a news release of ICC. Besides four Pakistanis men's team, including 12th man, contained three each from South Africa and Sri Lanka and two from the West Indies.
