KARACHI - Benazir Bhutto was the most articulate, brave, courageous and prudent leader. She was the true successor of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto whose heart throbbed with the hearts of oppressed people of Pakistan. She knew that her life was in danger but she came to Pakistan to restore democracy and fight for the rights of people. It was stated by the speakers at the book launching ceremony of senior journalist Mahmood Sham, organised by ABN Events & Communications. On the occasion, Sherry Rehman said that the martyrdom was the tradition of the Bhutto family. She came to Pakistan to restore democracy and to fight for the oppressed people. She was a great leader of the nation. Commenting on the book, Sherry said that the book had latest as well as historic aspects. She suggested that the books on Bhutto familys political efforts should come in front of the new generation. Addressing the session, former governor Sindh, Kamal Azfar, said that after the martyrdom of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Benazir raised his flag, and dedicated her life to her fathers mission. He further said that they could see the glimpse of Moulana Hasrat Mohani in Mehmood Shaams personality and poetry. Commenting on the book, other speakers including famous Abdul Hafiz Lakho, the president of Mazdoor Kisan Party, Fatehyaab Ali Khan, former federal minister Prof ND Khan, the publisher of the book, Shakir Hussain Shakir, former secretary for women welfare and Benazirs closest friend Salma Waheed, former secretary-general PPP Sindh, Iqbal Yousuf said that the book was the autobiography of Benazir Bhutto. Words which Mehmood Shaam wrote in his book have dimmed the faces seen on the political front. Benazir did not sacrifice her life for the power and money but for the rights of people. They said that Benazir motivated youth and led the nation for democracy and she gave us the courage to fight.
