PESHAWAR  - At least three persons were injured when a roadside explosive device exploded in Masho Khail area in the outskirts of Peshawar on Sunday morning.
Local sources said that the blast occurred in Faqir Abad Square situated in Masho Khail area of Badhabera when an improvised explosive device hit the vehicle of one Hakeemullah Khan.
Soon after the incident local people rushed towards the site and shifted the injured persons to Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar where they were provided emergency medical treatment. The injured were identified as Mohammad Hakeem, Hakeemullah Khan and Hakeeem Mohammad, all residents of Badhabera.
Police cordoned off the area and started a search operation for the arrest of suspected persons.
Police said that it was one-kilogram bomb and its target was not confirmed.
Meanwhile in the wake of military operation in North Waziristan Agency, Peshawar police launched a search operation in the surrounding areas of Peshawar on Sunday and arrested 80 suspected persons including some foreign nationals.
