PM Nawaz likely to return by end of Ramazan: Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is expected to arrive in the country by the end of Ramazan, said Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Thursday.

He was meeting leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah over the issue of the terms of reference that would lead to a judicial commission to probe names of Pakistanis named in the Panama Papers.

It was decided that the government and opposition will meet for a meeting over the ToRs next week.

Khursheed Shah said that he will soon meet the opposition members over the issue of selection of member of the Election Commission of Pakistan.

On Monday the joint opposition lashed the government over its non seriousness to resolve the questions raised by the Panama Leaks. In a fiery press conference attended by the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, Jamat-e-Islami and Pakistan People's Party, Aitezaz Hasan had said, "The government does not want to make a legislation over the Panama Leaks. Instead it wants a legislation which can probe the death of Osama bin Laden."

"The government wants to put forward 100,000 cases in the judicial commission,” he said accusing the government of trying to play down the alleged links of the prime minister to offshore companies.
