ISLAMABAD: A local court in Islamabad today extended the interim bail of Senator Hamdullah.

Additional Sessions Judge Raja Asif Mehmood extended the interim bail plea after Senator Hamdullah appeared before the court. Marvi Sarmad, on whose complaint, the Kohsar police have registered a case against the senator, did not appear in the court, however.

The court extended the interim bail of the senator till July 15 after counsel for Sarmad did not appear in the court.

While talking to media persons, senator Hamdullah said “I have presented myself before the law. It is not known why Marvi Sarmad did not turn up despite being summoned. I will appear whenever the court summons me”.
