A petition challenging Maryam Nawaz's candidature was dismissed by the appellate tribunal on Saturday from constituency PP-173 of Punjab Assembly. 

Maryam Nawaz has decided to contest upcoming general elections from National Assembly constituencies NA-125 and NA-127 in Lahore, and Punjab Assembly constituency PP-173.

The petitioner, who had challenged Maryam’s nomination papers, claimed that Maryam Nawaz possessed two CNICs.

The appellate tribunal stated that the petition is inadmissible and dismissed it.
