ISLAMABAD (APP) - Commenting on the flag-hoisting ceremony on Sunday, Member of National Assembly Pir Dilawar Shah has hailed the decision of restoring deposed judges and said that it will not only bring political stability but also strengthen the democratic institutions in the country. "The decision would not only bring political stability but would also strengthen the democratic institution in the country, he told APP here on Sunday. The ANP legislature said supremacy of the constitutional and democratic institutions would strengthen the system and put the country on the road to progress and prosperity. Such decision has proved that Pakistan is a democratic country where peoples' mandate is respected, he added. He said, "The PPP-led government and opposition parties deserve appreciation and congratulation for amicably resolving the issue of deposed judges". He hoped that all the political parties would work together for the betterment of the country as Pakistan is facing a number of challenges. Pir Dilawar said that the anti-democratic forces were shocked and frustrated by the decision, however, the government has proved that it gave credit to people's expectations. He said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had promised restoration of Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry outside the residence of the Chief Justice, adding that independent judiciary was part of the mission of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. He said that all political parties should welcome the wise decision of government and join hands to strengthen the state pillars. He said the nation and lawyers community deserve congratulation at this particular occasion adding the Prime minister's decision is a historic development. He urged all the political parties to rise above their egos and work for provision of basic amenities to the masses.
