QUETTA - At least two people were killed including a personnel of Frontier Works Organisation and ten others were wounded in two separate incidents of firing and bomb blasts in Khuzdar and Dera Murad Jamali on Sunday. As per reports reaching here, unknown masked motorcyclists targeted a vehicle of FWO with automatic weapons in Khuzdar that caused critical wounds to three personnel including Muhammad Bota, Nasir Hussain and Jihand. The injured were rushed to hospital where Muhammad Bota succumbed to his injuries. The assailants escaped from the site after the crime. Police after being informed reached the site and started investigation. However, so far no body has claimed the responsibility of the attack. According to report from Dera Murad Jamali, a man was killed and eight others were injured when a remote control device exploded with a huge explosion. Report suggested that unknown people had fitted an explosive device with a bicycle and parked it at Chattar Road. The explosive device went off with a big bang resulting in death of one person identified as Ali Nawaz and left eight others with multiple injures. The injured were rushed to the nearby hospital where they were identified as Rithan Khan, Lal Khan, Sultan Ahmad, Niaz Hussain, Rindan, Khair Bakhsh, Moor Khan and Shahnawaz. Sources said that bomb was detonated through a remote control device. Meanwhile, a gas pipeline was blown in Kalat district which caused suspension of gas supply to several areas. As per reports, militants had planted explosive material beneath a gas pipeline that exploded and damaged the pipeline due to which gas supply to several areas remained suspended in Kalat area. However, official sources said that repair work of the damaged pipeline has been started and gas supply to the affected areas would soon be restored. Police have registered cases of all incidents and started investigation.
