Recently it has been reported that militants have been targeting police infrastructure in Southern Punjab. In the city of Gujranwala, there have already been three such incidents this year, in which police stations and check posts have been bombed. This is an alarming situation, as it is evident that after Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the police are now in the crosshairs of the militants in Punjab.
