LAHORE - Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Health Khawaja Salman Rafiq will inaugurate Anti-Dengue Marathon under the aegis of Pakistan Medical Association today (Friday) at 8:00am, said PMA spokesman on Thursday.The race will start from Racecourse Park to Siddique Trade Centre as a part of the awareness campaign launched by the PMA to save the public from dengue. Khawaja Saad Rafiq will be the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony at the end of the event.

A large number of citizens have got themselves registered for the race on Thursday at the registration desks established by the association. All the participants will be given free T shirts, gifts and certificates of appreciation.

 Breakfast will also be served on the participants and the families will also be requested to attend a musical programme at the end of the event.

The health experts of the association will also apprise the participants regarding the measures to save themselves from the dengue fever and pamphlets and brochures for the same will also be distributed.

The participants of the race have been divided into four categories and cash prizes will also be given to all the groups.
