LAHORE - Attitude of the present rulers was no different from that of the dictators of the past as they too were disobeying court orders like the latter, said PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, who returned home from Dubai on Thursday after completing his  two weeks private visit.

In his message on the occasion of Pakistan Day, Nawaz Sharif said the day demands of us to renew our pledge to build the country upto the objectives of its creation by putting in our best efforts. He said that the challenges of terrorism, price hike, poverty and national security being faced by the country, could only be met by following in the moto of faith, discipline and unity propounded by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

“The people of Pakistan firmly believe in democracy, rule of law and independent judiciary for which they carried out long struggles, but the present rulers are following in the footsteps of the dictators by means of flouting the judicial orders,” said Nawaz Sharif. Meanwhile, he will hold a meeting with the main leaders of the party here on Friday to discuss current political situation particularly in relation to cases before the SC.
