A band of 12 bandits took away valuables including gold ornaments, cash and cattle heads worth more than Rs2 million from a house in the limits of Kuhna Police on Sunday.

According to one Ameer Bakhsh, a resident of Dengian Pullan situated in the remit of Kuhna Police, 12 armed bandits entered his house when he along with other family members was asleep. The bandits locked all the male family members in a room and started collecting valuables. He claimed that the bandits forced the female members to consume intoxicating drink, tortured them and tore off their clothes. Later, the outlaws made off with cattle heads, cash, gold ornaments and other valuables of worth more than Rs2 million. Following the incident, scores of residents rallied against the police and demanded immediate arrest the bandits and recovery of the booty.
