Time ripe for govt to take action: Siraj

PESHAWAR - Central Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Siraj-ul-Haq has said that politics and extortion do not go hand in hand and it is time for the federal government to take strict action against those who have destroyed peace of Karachi.
He was addressing a two-day training session of Jamaat-e-Islami leadership here at Markaz-e-Islami Peshawar. Ameer JI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Professor Ibrahim, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Israrullah advocate, Inayatullah Khan, Sabir Awan  and others also addressed on the occasion.
Sirajul Haq said that this is the right time to take action against criminals and terrorist groups in Karachi who have killed innocent people and put their rivals in containers of sulphuric acid to torture them.
He said that if action was not taken against them, then the federal government and bureaucracy will be equally responsible.
He mentioned that MQM workers are openly confessing that they have killed innocent people on the directives of their party chief, adding now there is no excuse for MQM and it is the responsibility of the Prime Minister to restore peace in Karachi and bring the responsible elements to justice.
He stressed the government to launch developmental projects along with military operation to bring the city of lights on the track of development.
Siraj also vowed that JI will fight against evil forces which are spreading anarchy in the country.
He hoped that their party will clinch maximum seats in the upcoming local bodies’ polls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
