Comprehensive steps should be taken to improve sanitary conditions at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard. Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister Malik Saleem Iqbal stated during a visit to THQ Hospital Kamalia here the other day.

He went around different wards of the hospital and expressed displeasure over the poor sanitary conditions. He directed the hospital MS to improve sanitation and deal all the negligent officers with sternly.

On the occasion, he talked to the patients and enquired from them about the facilities being provided at the hospital. He declared that those who do not serve the ailing humanity have no right to stay at their posts. He said that the Punjab government has been spending billions of rupees on the improvement of hospitals and provision of quality healthcare to the public. He emphasised that benefits of the resources being spent for the improvement of medical facilities should reach the masses and hospitals’ administration would have to realise their responsibilities in this regard.

MPA Nazia Raheel, DCO Amir Ijaz Akbar, DO Health Dr Khalid Mehmood, AC Ch Khalid and former City Nazim Ch Rasheed Gujjar were also present on the occasion.
