TOBA TEK SINGH: The Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab retrieved a piece of land, measuring five acres and a shop of an overseas Pakistani, from the possession of grabbers here the other day. According to OPC, the land and shop is situated on Shorkot Road in Pir Mahal and owned by an overseas Pakistani of Toba Tek Singh, currently living in England. The land and shop were illegal occupied of his brother Muhammad Latif for the last three years. OPC Punjab Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti received a complaint from Muhammad Zulfiqar and referred it to OPC Toba Tek Singh District Committee. The committee sprung into action and retrieved the land and shop situated on Shorkot Road in Pir Mahal. The OPC Punjab chief said that the TT Singh DCO and Pir Mahal AC played key role in the retrieval of the property.

Mr Bhatti said that on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the OPC Punjab is playing an active role in resolving issues faced by overseas Pakistanis.–Staff Reporter
