LAHORE: The Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab retrieved a piece land, measuring five acres and a shop of an oversea Pakistani of Toba Tek Singh, from the grabbers. The prosperity, situated on Shorkot Road in Pir Mahal, District Toba Tek Singh is owned by Muhammad Zulfiqar, currently living in England and was in the illegal possession of his brother Muhammad Latif for the last three years.–Staff Reporter

OPC Punjab Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti informed that after receiving a complaint from Muhammad Zulfiqar by the OPC Punjab, the matter was referred to District Overseas Committee Toba Tek Singh. The committee took quick action and retrieved the land and shop situated on Shorkot Road in Pir Mahal. He said that the TT Singh DCO and the Pir Mahal AC played a vital role in retrieving the property.

Mr Afzaal Bhatti said that on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the OPC Punjab is playing an active role in resolving the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis. He said that a special system has also been evolved for online registration of complaints by overseas Pakistanis.
