Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Friday lauded suo motu action by Supreme Court Chief Justice (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar against the misuse of public funds and encroachment of public palaces by the influential political figure.

In a tweet on the micro-blogging website Tweeter, the PTI leader requested CJP Mian Saqib Nisar to extend its action against Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari and other influential figures in power, as according to the PTI Leader, they were using Tax money and public land for their own personal benefits.

“We welcome CJP's ruling & action on abuse of public funds & usurpation of public spaces. CJP should take notice of this in the case of Sharifs, Zardaris & all those in positions of power using taxpayer money & taking over public spaces for personal benefit.”

Earlier on Thursday CJP Mian Saqib Nisar has ordered the Lahore Development Authority to restore a public park to its original shape, which earlier was partly encroached to build a carpeted road to facilitate the residence of defunct finance minister Ishaq Dar.
