President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain today said that international system which is prevailing in the world is now multi-polar, therefore, it is not possible for a single state to shape world's political structure according to their own interests.
While speaking at Shakarparian Parade ground on Pakistan Day, he said that our neighbor in the east is continuously increasing its military might.
“India is moving forward irresponsibly and this attitude and behavior is harmful for regional peace and stability. Our peace oriented approach should not be taken as our weakness,” said President Mamnoon Hussain.
He also stated that the issue of Kashmir can only be resolved in accordance with UN resolutions and wishes of the people of Kashmir.
President also lauded the efforts and sacrifices of civil and armed forces for maintaining peace in the country.
Earlier on the occasion, President Mamnoon Hussain attended the parade at Shakarparian Parade ground.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Air Chief Marshall Mujahid Anwar Khan and Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi were also present on the occasion.
Besides, some foreign dignitaries including Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena were invited as chief guests on the occasion.
The most anticipated parade is still going on in Shakarparian parade ground in Islamabad.
