Recently, I had the chance to go to the emergency ward of the Services Hospital to attend a relative who was suffering with severe ache in stomach and very high sugar level. It was very surprising for me to see change in the attitude of doctors and the nursing staff. I was very glad to see all the doctors and nurses taking good care of patients. Nobody was being harsh with them or throwing any temper tantrums. All medicines were provided free of cost. This is a great relief for patients who cannot afford to purchase expensive medicines. This is a very good effort from Punjab government. The credit should surely be given to Mian Shahbaz Sharif. -MRS MUBARIK RIZVI, Lahore, via e-mail, May 9.
