LAHORE Asim Qureshi and Sadia Falek Sher clinched the mens single and womens single title of the Asim Qureshi Beneficial Table Tennis Tournament organised by the Lahore District Table Tennis Association at Chroma Table Tennis Complex. Asim Qureshi beat Bilal Yasin by 3-1, 11-9, 11-7, 3-11, 11-8. Both the players exhibited very long rallies and the spectators enjoyed the every point played by them. The match was very closely contested and Asim has to bring every thing out to beat Bilal Yasin. In the semi-finals of ladies event, Sadia Falek beat Naureen by 3-0 and in the second semi-final, Mahmooda outclassed top seeded Ayesha by 3-1. Good rallies were played by both the players and the crowed enjoyed it a lot. It was bad day for Ayesha Iqbal to overcome the Mahmoodas tactics. In the final, Sadia Falek Sher beat Mahmooda in straight sets 3-0. Sadia used her combination of racket very intelligently which helped her beating Mahmooda in straight sets 11-6, 11-8, 11-9. After the finals, chairman Punjab Table Tennis Association Haji Ihsan-ul-Haq and president Pakistan Taekwondo Association Amjad Ali Malik gave away prizes to the winner and runners-up. Second semi-final: Mahmooda beat Ayesha by 3-1, 11-6, 11-6, 7-11, 11-5. Ladies singles final: Sadia Falek Sher beat Mahmooda 3-0 (11-6, 11-8, 11-9).
