LAHORE - Foreign Office while allocating the areas for hunting to the foreign dignitaries, will consult the provincial governments through Federal Environment Ministry. It was decided in the inter-provincial special committee meeting constituted by Inter-Provincial Coordination Committee (IPCC) held at Chief Ministers Secretariat on Saturday. Federal Minister for Environment Hameed Ullah Jan, Senior Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, Mrs Ruqia Saeed Hashmi, Minister IPC Balochistan, Ghalib Iqbal Chief of Protocol Ministry of Foreign Affairs Fazal Nabi Khan, Additional Secretary IPC Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Secretary Forest Punjab and other high ranking officials attended the meeting. As the security and camping arrangements are the responsibilities of the provincial government, the allocation of hunting areas should also be made by the provincial governments enabling them to save the adversely affected birds and wildlife. The wildlife departments of the concerned provinces should also be consulted, the meeting decided. Zulfiqar Khosa said that foreign dignitaries visiting Pakistan for hunting of Houbara Bustard might be requested to carry out developmental and social activities in their areas of allocation. The Chief of Protocol assured the participants that the allocation of hunting areas would be done on the recommendations of provincial governments.
