MULTAN (APP) - The Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Saturday lauded the government for banning the social networking website Facebook and suggested the matter be raised at international level. Talking to newsmen, MCCI president Malik Israr Ahmad Awan, senior vice president Khawaja Usman and members of the executive body condemned blasphemy and termed it a conspiracy against Muslims that was meant to provoke them by hurting their sentiments and then to portray them as extremists. They said the freedom of expression did not allow hurting sentiments of people of any faith and stressed that efforts should be made for interfaith harmony.
