PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said that the upcoming provincial Annual Developmental Programme for the year 2012-13 will be compatible to needs of the people and will reflect stability of economy of the province.
He said that investment in production sectors and completion of ongoing and near-to-completion uplift schemes were their topmost priority .
He was chairing consultative meeting in connection with drafting of proposed provincial annual budget for financial year 2012-13.
Participants of the meeting were Senior Provincial Minister Rahim Dad Khan, Provincial Finance Minister Muhammad Hamayun Khan, Chief Secretary Ghulam Datager, ACS Atta Ullah Khan, Secretary Finance Sahibzada Saeed, Secretary Planning & Development Saleem Khan, Secretary Works & Services Zahid Arif, Special Secretary to CM Waqar-ul-Hassan, Chief Economist and officers of P&D and Finance Departments.
Matters pertaining to entire departments, allocation of fund and time frame were reviewed in detail during the meeting while funds allocation for ongoing and near-to-completion schemes was also discussed.
The CM stressed release of one-time funds to schemes near to completion this year in order people welfare schemes , in spite of extending further, can benefit people from fruits of development. The CM said that contrary to new schemes , improvement in existing facilities, increase in its capacity and timely completion of ongoing schemes is the best development strategy.
He said that the present government prefers collective interests of people and the province, adding, concentration on ongoing and near-to-completion schemes is in best interests of the people.
He said that new schemes will be included purely on need basis.
The CM said that more and more investment in hydel power, minerals, and tourism and production sector is demand of the time that will help bringing pleasant change in lives of the people, revenue of province will increase in shape of royalty and will assist economy of the province to stand on strong footing.
He mentioned provincial Hydel Power Generation Action Plan.
He said that the Action Plan will play pivotal role in lessening energy crises and will increase revenue base of the province along with pleasant change in social and financial status of production areas.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has approved in principle the creation of 250 posts of Subject Specialists (SS) for Government Higher Secondary Schools in the province.
Out of these, 150 posts will be for Urdu and 100 for Pashto subject. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, there are 201 Male Higher Secondary Schools and 100  Female Higher Secondary Schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but only 68 Subject Specialists Urdu (Male) and 10 Subject Specialists Urdu (Female) posts are provided.
The required posts of Subject Specialists-Urdu Male are 133 and Subject Specialists Urdu Female are 90.
Similarly 14 Subject Specialists Pashto (Male) are working in the Department.
However, no Subject Specialist Pashto (Female) is available in any Government Girls Higher Secondary School. Keeping in view the poor financial condition of the province, the government approved 250 posts of Subject Specialists for the Higher Secondary Schools of the province.
