Buses are an important mode of transport, and the majority of people travel using them, including many students and office workers. Unfortunately, after 67 years, we still do not have an organized transport system. The government does not think it important enough to invest in. The private transporters do not believe that schedules and timings are of any importance, as they are mostly illiterate people. I am astonished and amazed at how docile our nation is; there are no complains about the lacklustre transport available and no one wants to change it. Developed countries are known by their GDP, exports and their national transport systems, none of which we can boast about. This is not such a herculean task, considering we could get blue prints for transport from any developed country and set a system which is reliable, transparent and has a punctual schedule of busses.
