The Karachi Circular Railway project’s major problem is encroachment on railway land. The newly-elected MNA and MPAs must play their role and encourage people to move to the land which is reserved for the affected people. The Sindh government removed encroachments for the Lyari Expressway project so that it could be completed. All encroachments from these projects were removed before the development projects were initiated. These encroachments were removed only through the efforts of political parties.

Now these political parties must play their role again in removing encroachments from the railway land so that KCR project can be completed. The government should sign an agreement with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) or some other foreign firms for providing soft loan for laying new tracks and new engines. The KCR project is feasible and it could be done through the JICA etc.
