Peshawar: All preparations have been completed for holding Local Bodies (LB) polls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Over 80000 candidates are vying against 41760 seats in the LB polls, which are scheduled to take place on May 30.
Total registered voters stand at 13035759 in the province and among them 7438796 are male voters, while 5696903 are female voters. 11107 polling stations have been set up all over the province. 2837 polling stations have been declared highly sensitive and 4340 have been declared normal.
As many as 134324 persons, including 11261 presiding officers, 92256 assistant presiding officer and 30808 polling officers will perform duties, during electoral process.
110186 security personnel will be required during polls. The province lacks 42069 security personnel and in order to make up for this deficiency army, FC and other forces will be called from AJK and Gilgit. Over 70 million ballot papers have been printed in connection with LB polls. One voter will cast 7 votes.
