QUETTA - Balochistan Speaker Jan Muhammad Jamali tendered his resignation on Friday owing to of his differences with the PML-N's leadership. The resignation came after coalition partners decided to table a no-trust motion against the speaker .
The differences between Jamali and the PML-N surfaced during the recently held elections of the Upper House. Jamali had refused to vote for the PML-N's ticket holders in the Senate's election. Jamali 's daughter Sana Jamali contested on a woman seat, which was won by PML-N-backed Kalsoom Parveen. According to sources, the Governor House has received the resignation of Jan Muhammad Jamali .
The Balochistan Assembly adopted a resolution on Friday, demanding the Federal government to resume international flights from Quetta and run Boeing aircrafts on PIA flights to other parts of the country, says Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN). The issue was brought up as an adjournment motion and converted into a resolution after the lawmakers debated it for 49 minutes. The sitting started 35 minutes behind the schedule with 32 lawmakers (49 per cent) present at the start and 23 (35 per cent) at the time of adjournment.  The Chief Minister and the Opposition leader were both present during the sitting.
