LAHORE: Two new water filtration plants have been installed at Lahore General Hospital and Post Graduate Medical Institute at a cost of Rs 3.5 million. These plants at6 LGH and PGMI will produce 2000 and 1000 gallon clean and cool water per hour respectively. Both the projects have been completed through the financial assistance of Patients Welfare Society of LGH .
Chairing a meeting held here Friday, Principal PGMI/LGH Prof Anjum Habib Vohra said that donations given by philanthropists during his tenure as head of the institution would be audited by third party to verify its transparency. –Staff Reporter
Office bearers of PWS including Malik Aslam, Yasir Ejaz, Sheikh Habib Ullah, Aleem Malik and Rahit Habib attended the meeting.
Vohra said those who donate for ailing community were respectable people. Such people become ray of hope for dying patients and give new life to them, he added.
