ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif citing the significance of Shab-e-Barat has urged the nation to offer special prayers for the peace, prosperity and solidarity of the country.

In a message in connection with Shab-e-Barat, being observed across the country with religious zeal, the Prime Minister said that Almighty Allah has bestowed upon the Muslims a night of great reverence and fervour, enabling the faithful to seek His forgiveness.

The Almighty Allah opens his doors of forgiveness for the faithful invoking his blessings in the world and the hereafter, he added. The Prime Minister observed that the faithful should seek salvation for all the problems which was not only an individual but also a collective requirement.

 Today Pakistan is being confronted with a host of social and economic issues but his government with the blessings of Allah Almighty is striving hard to bring about a financial stability and banish the issue of unemployment, he added.

The Prime Minister said the government wanted that the educated youth could get employment according to their qualification and skills. There should be peace and people should prosper.

 The human efforts can bear fruits with the blessings of Almighty Allah, so we have to pray for the country, besides seeking His rewards for ourselves, he added.

The Prime Minister said that the faithful should also pray for those martyrs who had laid down their lives for ensuring peace in the country by eliminating the curse of terrorism. The Prime Minister prayed to Almighty Allah to save Pakistan from all kinds of problems.
