Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has promised to set up a hospital and construct the Faisalabad-Chiniot Road as dual carriageway if his party is re-elected in the general elections.

He stated this while inaugurating the renovated building of the DHQ Hospital and an incinerator for medical waste disposal.

Talking to media and political workers gathered at DHQ Hospital, the chief minister said that Punjab hospitals had been improved, renovated with billions of rupees and latest medical tests including CT Scan, X-Ray, Ultrasound and medicines were provided free of cost. He also said that medical waste disposal was another big problem which created infectious diseases and functionality of incinerator would ease the medical waste management. The hepatitis filter clinics are providing free of cost medical care for persons suffering from the disease at district level, he said.

He promised to construct a new state-of-the-art hospital in Chiniot and Faisalabad-Chiniot highway in one year if people elected his party again in the coming elections. Earlier, Medical Superintendent Dr Mushtaq Bashir briefed him about the renovation work which cost some Rs200 million and a number of new facilities started in the hospital.

MPA Maulana Ilyas Chinioti;, District Council Chairman Saqlain Sajanka, Municipal Committee Chairman Mehr Khalid, DC Rai Manzoor and DPO Tahir Rehman were also present.–Staff Reporter
