KARACHI - Speakers in a meeting of Hamdard Naunehal Assembly Karachi Chapter urged that government should change education system, make it according to the current requirements and to implement one curriculum system of education across the country. The double standard of education creates friction and discrimination in the society. The meeting was held the other day at a local hotel on the topic of "Education and one curriculum system of education" comprised recitation of holy verses, Na'at, tableau, speeches and Dua-i-Saeed. Speaking on the occasion the chief guest and chairman, Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, Professor Anwar Ahmed Zai said that the academic year would be started from April 1, 2009. Paying rich tribute to Hakim Saeed, he said that Pakistan was always Hakim Saeed's passion and his great love for children was also an outcome of this passion as he wanted to promote children in order to promote and brighten the future of Pakistan. "His love and mission for the betterment of Pakistan is still continuing in the shape of his able daughter, Mrs Sadia Rashid," he added. Mrs Sadia Rashid, president, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan said that education was a right of every child since birth and Pakistan's future was dependent on children's proper education and training. She emphasised the reforming of education system and oneness of curriculum in the whole country. Child speakers Osama Aijaz, Kehkashan Anjum, Mah Rukhan, Maryam Abdul Wahid, Fatima Sabra, Angela Ram Chandani and Mohammad Khizer Khan also spoke on the occasion. Besides teachers, parents and large number of children were also attended the function.
