KABUL (AFP) A bomb attack killed two Nato soldiers in troubled southern Afghanistan on Monday, the military alliance said. Separately, a bomb attack killed four Afghan civilians and wounded two others in the south of the country on Mond-ay, ISAF said. The blast happened in the Zurmat district of eastern Paktiya province, the military said in a statement. Foreign troops took the wounded to hospital, it added. US Army Colonel Rafael Torres, from ISAF command in the capital, Kabul, blamed the attack on insurgents. The latest deaths come after three civilians were killed in a roadside bomb attack on Sunday in southern Kandahar province, scene of the fiercest fighting between militants and foreign forces. ISAF said in a separate stat-ement on Monday that troops detained a number of insur-gents in Paktiya and neighb-ouring Khost province on Sunday, including one suspect-ed of supplying material for roadside bombs. Another suspected militant described as a key Taliban improvised explosive device leader was held in Kandahar, also on Sunday, it added.
