LAHORE - District and Sessions Court on Monday handed over nine childrens custody to their mothers after getting them recovered from the illegal custody of their fathers. Rubina Azhar, a resident of Gujranwala had filed a habeas corpus petition in the court alleging that her husband Azhar Iqbal had detained her four children, Fatima, 9, Faizan, 5, Zain, 7, and one-year-old Fatima. She contended in her petition that she had a bitter wedlock due to which scuffle on domestic issues had become a routine matter. She said a few days back her husband tortured her brutally. She alleged that her husband also kicked her out of his house and snatched her children. She implored the court for the recovery of her children. On Rubinas plea, the court deputed Zulifqar as bailiff who raided Azhers house and found children there. The bailiff produced the minors before the court, where they were handed over to their mother on Monday. Meanwhile, same court dealing with another habeas corpus petition handed over three children to their mother. Rashida Sadiq, a resident of Mughalpura had filed petition in the court alleging that her husband Muhammad Ramzan had kept illegally her three children, Abdul Reham, Talha and Mubeen. On her plea, court deputed a bailiff who recovered three children from Ramazans illegal custody and on Monday the court handed over minors to their mother Rashida. The same court had also handed over two years old Ghulam Mustafa to her mother Fauzia after getting him recovered from his father Muhammad Shakeels illegal custody through the bailiff Tajammal Shah. Shakeela Bibi, a resident of Mian Meer had also filed a habeas corpus petition in which she alleged that her husband Sharafat Ali had kept her daughter Zaineb illegally. On her plea, the court served a notice to Sharafat, while directing him to appear before the court along with his daughter. Responding to the courts notice, Shrafat produced the girl before the court. Later, she was handed over to her mother Shakeela Bibi.
