Zardaris dual office case: CJ SHC forms larger bench

Chief Justice Sindh High Court on Tuesday constituted a three-member larger bench to hear dual office case against President Asif Ali Zardari. The bench, comprising Justice Musheer Alam, Justice Gulzar and Justice Maqbool Baqir, would start hearing of the case from Wednesday (tomorrow). It is pertinent to mention that senior advocate Rasheed A Akhwand filed a petition in the SHC challenging holding of two offices by President Asif Ali Zardari. The petitioner argued that the holding of two offices by the President is against the constitution and thus it is a public and constitutional issue. He suggested that Zardari should either remain a president or hold the chairmanship of PPP.
