LAHORE Former Rescue-1122 Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer (ostensibly on ex-Pakistan leave) claimed here the other day that every person has the right to play hide and seek in order to improve their social status through any mean. This is the first occasion when Dr Rizwan Naseer, DG Rescue-cum-Secretary General Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), has finally admitted of violating code of conduct and government service rules and regulations, under which a government officer cannot enjoy two seats simultaneously under PEEDA Act 2006. The PML-N led provincial government, however, is yet mum over the grave move of the DG. Well established sources privy to the development confided to TheNation on Tuesday that during negotiation before his joining the DG Rescue-1122 had told PRCS administration that he tendered his resignation from Rescue and intended to join the PRCS. However, according to an official letter, a copy of which was available with this scribe, the Punjab Home Secretary Shahid Khan granted him an Ex-Pakistan leave comprising 90 days effective from October 15, 2011, bound for a disaster management course in Japan. Meanwhile, PRCS Deputy Director Communications Inayat Kaleem circulated an SMS that Dr Rizwan Naseer (Ex-DG Rescue) had joined PRCS from October and his appointment was also displayed on PRCS official website ( After this newspaper highlighted the DGs unlawful act, the picture and news of Dr Rizwan Naseer was removed from the website but perhaps the telecommunication staff of the organisation forgotten to remove his name from PRCS Staff, as Dr Rizwan Naseer is still heading as Secretary General of PRCS staff.
