OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - Some 14 more patients were tested positive for the virus in the provincial capital on Tuesday. However, no dengue-related death was reported in any public and private hospital of the city. Reports said the number of dengue fever patients continued to drop with the passage of time all over the province. The citizens felt a sigh of relief that something unpleasant has not happened or is no longer happening. Seminar on dengue awareness: A seminar on Dengue Awareness and Control was held in Government College of Technology (GCT) Raiwind Road Lahore. Dr Farrukh Gulzar, medical officer TEVTA, was chief guest on the occasion. Dr Farrukh in his address stressed the need of an integrated strategy to control dengue. He said that mosquito sprays are not sufficient as we need a manifold approach for mosquito eradication, such as biological control, mass awareness and cleanliness campaign. The GCT Principal also spoke on the occasion and thanked the participants.
