JHANG - The Sunni Ittehad Council has demanded trial of President Zardari and Pakistans Ambassador to the US Hussain Haqqani under Article 6 of the Constitution allegedly for conspiring against the nation according to the memo. The entire nation is fed up with the corrupt and inefficient rulers. They have pushed the country in Stones Age, SIC Chairman Sahibzada Fazal Karim said while addressing a meeting at Jamia Hanafia Rizvia. The SIC chairman further said that the incumbent rulers had given nothing to the masses except skyrocketing price hike, corruption, unemployment, lawlessness, Kalashnikov culture, terrorism and loadshedding. He was of the view that the nation now demands a change, saying that they were serving their vested interests, following dictations from the UA. He also observed that the government had failed in protecting life, property of the public. Fazal Karim also said that his party would field candidates on all national and provincial assemblies seats in the forthcoming general elections. The meeting was attended among other officeholders and workers by Sufi Nasir Abbas Haideri, Maulana Bashir Elahi Gujjar, Sahibzada Akhter Ali. FOUR KILLED IN INCIDENTS: At least four people were killed and another five received serious injuries in separate mishaps and incidents here in different areas of Jhang. As per detail, in the first incident one Maqbool Ahmad, Manager at a cotton ginning factory was shot dead when he put up resistance during a dacoity bid while other two received serious bullet injuries. The incident occurred when four armed dacoits entered the cotton factory situated on Layyah Road and demanded keys from the manager. Upon refusal the dacoits opened indiscriminate firing as a result Maqbool Ahmad died on the spot while two others including gunman Ghazanfar Ali and Amir Ali Sheikh received bullet injuries. The 18-Hazari Police have registered a case. In another incident, one Safdar Ali, a resident of Basti Faiz Abad received serious injuries and succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital when a speeding Hilux Dala hit his motorcycle near Mahmood Kot on Jhang-Bhakkar Road. Meanwhile, a seven-year-old school student Talib Hussain was killed while another student Anwar Ali received serious injuries and was admitted to THQ Hospital Shorkot. As per detail, both the students were going to school on a motorcycle when a rashly driven tractor-trolley hit their motorcycle on Shorkot-Toba Road. The Shorkot Cantt Police have registered a case. In another incident, one Shahbaz Ali, a resident of Chak Balochan, on a miner family dispute shot dead his real elder brother Muhammad Yasin who died on the spot. Two people including wife of Yasin Akhtar Bibi also received ballot injuries. The Massan Police have registered a case under section 302-PPC.
