LAHORE – On the appeal of PMA Punjab, the medical community observed a black day on Thursday to protest against the arrest of doctors in Balochistan. The protesting doctors performed duties at public sector hospitals in the province while wearing black bands on arms. The PMA has appreciated the decision of doctors in Balochistan to restore emergency services and postponement of protest movement after release of arrested doctors. A large number of Women and children are among 135 martyred and 1000 injured during these hundreds of attacks. PIMA is the only Pakistani organization who sent its mission to Gaza in 2007, where they helped and trained local doctors in treatment of injured. In continuity to its tradition and commitment, PIMA will send its team to Gaza in next few days, he said.

A statement issued by the JI foreign affairs wing on Thursday stated that this step of President Zardari had made the country a laughing stock.

It said the foreign journalists and diplomats were raising a genuine question as to under what law or rule, President Zardari had made his son Bilawal to be seated amidst the heads of states. The statement said that the G- 8 summit was an excellent opportunity for restoring the image of the Pakistan, however, President Zardari had provided the world media another excuse to ridicule this country.
