Forces recover kidnapped Sanjrani



QUETTA – Police Commissioner Qambar Dashti has said that security forces have carried out a successful operation and recovered Asif Sanjrani who was abducted from Nokondi area on November 16.
Asif Sanjrani is the father of Prime Minister’s Private Secretary Mir Saddiq Sanjrani and Saindak Project MD Raziq Sanjrani.  Addressing a news conference here on Thursday, Dashti said that the kidnappers had demanded ransom of Rs30 million. However, personnel of Levis and Kharan Rifles, with the cooperation of some tribal figures, carried out a successful operation recovering Mr Sanjrani from Dilapo area, some 16 kilometres away from Nokundi. He further informed that the kidnappers’ ring leader Dad Muhammad has been arrested while his other four accomplices managed to flee from the scene.
Meanwhile, scores of activists of the Baloch Human Rights Organisation and Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) held a demonstration outside the Press Club Thursday, protesting against the kidnapping of a Baloch youth Nawab Jan Nazar in Turbat.
The protest participants, led by VBMP Vice President Qadir Baloch, were carrying placards and banners. They also chanted slogans against the govt’s apathy and demanded immediate recovery of Nawab Jan Nazar.
