President Pakistan Muslim League (N) Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said Pakistan can benefit from Norway in dealing with energy-crisis.

In a meeting with Muhammad Nawaz Sharif held on Friday at Raiwind, Norway’s ambassador to Pakistan, Miss Cecile Landsverk said that Pakistan and Norway should enhance cooperation with reference to gas, oil and hydropower projects.

Her country enjoys third place in the world with reference to Gas-resources and fifth in oil reserves while Norway is the sixth biggest country of the world in the field of hydropower, she added.

Nawaz Sharif said there are vast opportunities for cooperation between Pakistan and Norway in the fields of energy, governance, education, health and social development.

PML-N’s President Nawaz Sharif further said that the exports of Pakistan to Norway, including those related with Cotton, Textile, and Leather, should be enhanced. Norway has been enjoying economic and trade relations with Pakistan for a long span, he maintained.

Nawaz lauded the role of Norwegian Government during the relief work for flood-victims in 2010.

Meanwhile, the office-bearers of Faisalabad chapter of PML-N, Chaudhary Asim Nazir and Chaudhary Zahid Nazir met with Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in the presence of former member of UK Parliament, Chaudhary Sarwar. They shared views on current political scenario.
