TARBELA GHAZI – Zahid Hussain Khan has taken over the charge of new General Manager of Ghazi Barotha Hydropower Project (GBHP).         
According to details, Shahid Hameed, who was posted as GM GBHP on March 15, 2012 got retired from service on November 16, 2012, attaining the superannuating age. Wapda authorities have promoted Zahid Hussain Khan, a senior most chief engineer, as GM. The newly appointed GM GBHP has taken over the charge of his new assignment.
Zahid Hussain Khan, who was earlier serving as Chief Engineer (Dams) in Lahore, is enjoying a very good reputation and is termed one of the most competent engineers in Wapda due to his highest-level professional skills and experience. He has also served for a long time in Ghazi Barotha Project at its earlier stage of construction and is well conversant with the project matters due to his vast experience on different national level Wapda’s projects beside his experience in GBHP. He also has a great respect among the employees because of his social work for the employees wherever he remained posted.
